April is here, and it’s blooming with fun at The Learning Academy! With spring in full swing, we’re embracing sunshine, new beginnings, and plenty of exciting moments—from our annual Egg Hunt to Spirit Week, creative learning themes, and more.

🐰 Egg Hunt – April 11th
We’re thrilled to welcome parents and guardians to our annual Egg Hunt!
Waddlers/EP: 3:00–3:30 PM
Preschool/Pre-K: 3:30–4:00 PM
Let’s celebrate spring together with sweet surprises and lots of giggles!
🍬 Candy Donations Welcome
Want to help us fill hundreds of eggs? Feel free to bring in a bag of candy! Leftovers will be donated to Westerville Memory Care, spreading smiles beyond our walls.

🧥 Don’t Forget to Swap Out Extra Clothes
As our little ones grow and the weather shifts, it’s a great time to check their cubbies and swap out extra clothes for weather- and size-appropriate options.

Let’s turn up the fun with a full week of dress-up days and classroom joy! Here’s the lineup for April’s Spirit Week:
🛌 Monday – Cozy Day
Wear your comfiest clothes or pajamas—it’s a snuggly kind of day!
🌸 Tuesday – Flower Power Day
Show off your floral prints or come dressed as your favorite flower. Let’s bloom together!
🌞 Wednesday – Crazy Hot Day
Bring on the summer vibes with sunglasses, sandals, and Hawaiian shirts!
🍭 Thursday – Sweet Treat Day
Dress as your favorite candy or dessert—get creative and colorful!
🍋 Friday – Lemonade Day
Wear yellow and cool off with a refreshing cup of lemonade with friends!
Spirit Week is always a crowd favorite, so don’t forget to snap photos and join in the fun!

📷 TLA Family Collage
Help us build our community board! You’re invited to bring in a photo of yourself or a loved one to add to our TLA family collage.
🧸 Stuffy Day
Students are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal for an extra cozy day of learning and snuggles!
📚 April Curriculum Themes
This month, our classrooms are buzzing with energy as we explore themes that celebrate the season and support healthy habits:
🌸 Spring – We’re observing the beauty of the season through blooming flowers, changing weather, and signs of new life all around us.
🌳 Trees – From roots to leaves, we’re learning how trees grow, why they’re important, and how they change throughout the year.
🏃 Exercise – Movement is key! Through fun activities and playful learning, we’ll explore how our bodies move, why exercise matters, and how to stay active and strong.
These hands-on, engaging themes help children connect with the world around them while building key developmental skills through movement, nature, and observation.
