Welcome to The Learning Academy’s November 2024 newsletter! We have some exciting activities and important updates lined up for this month. Here’s a quick overview of what’s happening.
Upcoming Events
Food Drive (Nov 4 – Nov 22)
We’re hosting a food drive to help those in need, and we’re encouraging students to participate! The class that brings in the most canned foods by Nov 22 will win a pizza party to celebrate their efforts.
Share Day (Nov 18)
On Share Day, children are invited to bring a toy from home to share with friends during playtime. We recommend that parents and their kids choose toys that aren’t fragile and that can be safely shared with others.
Pies at Pickup (Nov 21)
As a special treat, TLA staff will be baking pies for parents to enjoy at pickup time from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This is a great way for parents to connect with staff and other families while sharing something delicious!
Spirit Week (Nov 25 – Nov 27)
Spirit Week is here to add a little extra fun before the Thanksgiving holiday! Each day has a different theme, so children are encouraged to dress accordingly:
- Nov 25: Sports Day
- Nov 26: Flannel Day
- Nov 27: Pajama Day
Important Reminders
- Drop Off Cut-off: Please remember that drop-off ends at 9:30 AM, as ratios and lunch prep are determined at this time.
- Absences and Late Arrivals: If your child will be absent or arriving late, please update Tadpoles or call to let us know.
- Closures: TLA will be closed on Nov 28 and Nov 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
